Specifically, in 2023, except for the stainless steel crude steel production in mainland China, which increased by about 12.6% year-on-year to 36.676 million tons, the production in other regions has declined: Europe has decreased by about 6.2% year-on-year to 5.902 million tons, and the United States has decreased by about 9.6% year-on-year. % to 1.824 million tons. Asia excluding China, South Korea, and Indonesia (mainly India, Japan, and Taiwan) fell by about 7.2% year-on-year to 6.880 million tons. In the fourth quarter of 2023, global stainless steel crude steel production was mainly affected by mainland China, falling by nearly 2.2% quarter-on-quarter to 14.773 million tons. Among them, mainland China decreased by nearly 9.8% month-on-month to 8.997 million tons, the United States decreased slightly by nearly 0.5% month-on-month to 440,000 tons, Europe increased by nearly 18.3% month-on-month to 1.502 million tons, and Asia excluding mainland China, South Korea, and Indonesia increased month-on-month.
